THE WARM UP IN FOOTBALL
I chose this video because it connects directly with what we’re learning in class: how to design and do a correct warm-up, first general and then more specific for the sport. It shows a complete warm-up without material , so any student can repeat it at home or in PE. The space they use is very similar to what we have in school (15-20 m), so it’s realistic. It follows the right order : activation → mobility → specific movements → progressive runs. The exercises are typical of football (skipping, opening/closing the gate, lunges with twist, progressive sprints), so it links the theory to a real sport. The coaches explain the purpose of each exercise (groin, hamstrings, hip flexor, glutes…), which helps you understand the “why”, not only the “what”. It’s a safe warm-up : they start slow and increase intensity at the end, just like we said in class. It helps you learn new dynamic stretches instead of only static stretching. It’s in English, so it also works for...
Hello, today I’m going to explain my running technique video and why I chose this activity. I decided to work on running technique because running is something we do in many sports and in everyday physical exercise, but a lot of people don’t realise how important good technique is. Having the correct posture, moving your arms properly and landing well with your feet helps you run faster and also prevents injuries. I also chose it because I like sport and being active, and improving running technique can help me become a better athlete, especially in sports like football where running a lot is very important. In my opinion, training technique is a good way to improve coordination, balance and resistance while also learning how to use your body correctly. Overall, it’s a simple activity but very useful for improving physical condition and performance.
ReplyDeleteMark: 8.7 Your justification is strong because you clearly explain why running technique is important for many sports and daily exercise. You make good connections between correct posture, arm movement and foot landing with improved speed and injury prevention, and you also explain why this is relevant for you in sports like football. To make your justification even stronger, include one or two specific technique cues shown in the video and add a short plan for how you would practise it and track progress. Overall, it is a clear and useful justification with good personal relevance.
