THE WARM UP IN FOOTBALL

I chose this video because it connects directly with what we’re learning in class: how to design and do a correct warm-up, first general and then more specific for the sport.

  • It shows a complete warm-up without material, so any student can repeat it at home or in PE.

  • The space they use is very similar to what we have in school (15-20 m), so it’s realistic.

  • It follows the right order: activation → mobility → specific movements → progressive runs.

  • The exercises are typical of football (skipping, opening/closing the gate, lunges with twist, progressive sprints), so it links the theory to a real sport.

  • The coaches explain the purpose of each exercise (groin, hamstrings, hip flexor, glutes…), which helps you understand the “why”, not only the “what”.

  • It’s a safe warm-up: they start slow and increase intensity at the end, just like we said in class.

  • It helps you learn new dynamic stretches instead of only static stretching.

  • It’s in English, so it also works for the blog task (listening + PE).

So it’s a good reference video to show what a well-structured football warm-up looks like and for you to copy/adapt it in your own post.

The warm-up exercises go from lower to higher intensity, so it is a safe and complete warm-up.
There are individual exercises as well as exercises for pairs.
They work different parts of the body, but especially the legs.
The materials needed to properly perform the warm-up are: cones and balls.
This warm-up prepares the body for effort and endurance The goal is to reduce the risk of injuring yourself.

    3. I chose this video because I liked how the person explains the dribbling and technique exercises in a simple way, starting with low intensity and then increasing it. It makes the whole training easier to understand and follow, even for someone at our level. The video isn’t just showing off skills — it actually teaches how to improve step by step. That’s why I thought it was a good choice for the assignment, and honestly, it’s a useful video for anyone who wants to get better at dribbling.
